American Bulldog Coffee Roasters Chesnut Ridge, NY

American Bulldog Coffee Roasters seems like a country coffee shop that got lost and somehow fell about 30 minutes from New York City and I could not be happier about it. From the second I walked through the front door, I felt like I was transported far away from home. It is so beautiful and quaint.

The biggest draw to American Bulldog is definitely the atmosphere. There are several tables, each antique, that provide a great place to work, hangout, or just relax. Overall, the coffee shop was fairly quiet while I was there at 8am. This allowed me to talk to the barista a bit. He was very friendly and discussed how much he liked working there because he was able to talk with his customers.

This morning, I ordered a cappuccino and a cup of oolong tea. The cappuccino was good; but, it didn’t stand out very much. There was nothing that made it truly special.

The oolong tea was delicious though. They use tea from Rishi Organic Tea. Rishi Organic Tea uses rather large tea bags which guarantee a bold tea flavor.

The part I was most excited about wasn’t the drinks though. They had gluten free muffins!!! GLUTEN FREE! I devoured the pumpkin chocolate chip muffin. It was absolutely delicious. You will definitely see me back at American Bulldog Coffee Roasters to pick up a muffin on the way to work!
